Funny Job Experience

Having use to have a job most of the time it's like a daily routine for me. Now, that I am a full time student I feel like getting a job even just a part time. My class will last only for four hours and the rest of the day, I am free. To fill up my free time I need to get a part time job.

So, I applied a job in one of the Clothes Store close to my place. Luckily, I was hired on the spot. I felt happy about it because that's what I wanted. My first few hours run so smooth and fine, my co-workers are seem nice and they help me a lot. (my first time in a cash register job). Even that was my first experience having that kind of job they put me on everything not only on regular purchases counter but also in customer service includes returns & exchange etc. having that kind of experience made me think people that works like that is not a joke. You can encounter all different kinds of people, you know what i mean?

This job made me surprise, I have to left work at a certain time but you can expect the unexpected things to happened. I stay for three hours more just for what they called "GO BACKS" I'm pretty amazed about that although the company explained it to me.

Tell me if this is terrible? The next day I called the company and I told them that I will quit. Don't get me wrong I quit, not because of the work that I did or because I am lazy, BUT I quit because of the time that I have to spent. By that experience, I was late from school the next day and that made me make up some hours. My hubby said "You got a right decision to QUIT" is it funny experience?

  1. open communication between you and the management of your company is what it lacks.. sometimes even if we work our exact working time, there is a need for us to work for an extended hours especially at the times wherein we have reports to finish and that day is the deadline, when our surroundings are busy just like we have so many customers to deal with ( just like the kind of work you have ). So it is important to extend your working hours. Management is always a management whether we like it or not and it is thier right to command any of their employees what to do. but in your case, the management should care about your shifting schedule.you should let them know your life's schedule so that they would be aware and for the next time, they would not force you to extend hours on your work. if it happened once, for me, resigning is not a good decision. the best thing you do is to talk the management about, as id said, your life's schedule and let the the management fix the things up. But if your management already aware of your schedule, so you made the right decision. they have to understand you as an employee....
